My Cape Cod Dream Last
night in my dream, I was a child on Cape Cod, Fog
horns that blow, the sounds of a black crow, Blue
shell crabs, my old tennis shoes, Castles
and moats, big giant boats, Digging
for clams, jumping up and down, My
musty old cottage, the smell lingers on, Those
people, that place, please let me go, Today
I woke up from my Cape Cod dream, By Terri Maney |
The author of "A Cape Cod Dream", Terri Maney, is a 3rd generation "Cape Cod Kid" who spent her summers at their "musty old cottage" that her Grandparents built, and "jumping up and down for clams" at places like Woodneck Beach and Great Pond in Falmouth are included in some of the best memories in her life. Even her Mother and Father met each other here on the Cape, themselves, as "Cape Cod Kids." After realizing her dream to live here year round, Terri sold her insurance agency in Cherry Hills, Colorado and relocated here 2 years ago. Terri Maney has said; "Living on the Cape is a very unique and special privilege that so many wish to have but can never imagine how to make it happen. Although I had no idea what I would do for work once I came over the bridge, I was determined to make my dreams come true. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this truly unique community which offers up a diverse landscape of opportunity." Terri Maney is a full time professional Realtor with RE/Max Classic in Falmouth.
